Portia is a Southern California native; living in Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County and finally settling in the Coachella Valley, about 20 years ago. She started her career in accounting, which moved into Event Management, Human Resources, Property Management and Vacation Rental Management. 

After working for one of the largest vacation rental companies in the desert, for 4½ years, she helped open a vacation rental company and was the Director of Operations for 4 years. That vacation rental company successfully sold to an out-of-state vacation rental company, located in the Pacific Northwest. She stayed on board for 2 years, with the new company, providing guidance and direction for the niche market we have in the desert.

Portia is currently a part owner and Director of Operations of a vacation rental and property management company and has been in the industry for over 15 years. She has seen the market drastically change over that time. Her extensive knowledge of city permits, taxes, codes, rules and regulations is beyond most in the real estate field. She has created vacation rental websites, linking them to the online portals, such as Airbnb and VRBO, provided rental rates, created house descriptions and been a part of every aspect of the vacation rental process. 

Portia has pursued a career in real estate, after being around the industry for so many years. All the vacation rental homes were referred to her by friends in real estate and she was their contact in the vacation rental industry, providing rate comparisons and expectations to potential homeowners. This was an obvious transition when her friend suggested. 

When Portia is not working some of her favorite things to do is spending time with family and friends, travelling and experiencing new restaurants.

Portia has spent her life in pursuit of refining her skills at whatever she does; her passion has always been to excel. Spending time, getting to know you and your needs is the way she accomplishes that goal.
